真是傻问题。服务器是server. 数据库程序都在server上。你们的server不稳定，经常有空白页，尽管时间很短。

玛雅我前段用代理还能看，现在代理都不灵了。
不知道里边又怎么反共哪。

这次还真不是服务器的问题。是数据库出现问题。其实用备份重新置换一下就解决了。可赶巧的是章凝突然自己进不去了。请空间商做，他们看见中文眼就花。时间就浪费在等他们上了。

七月就势再给我解释一下什么是服务器？这个我真不清楚。先谢！

服务器就是房子，数据库是床，程序是桌子，床和桌子都要放到屋子里。服务器就是机器，数据库和程序都是软件，要装在机器上。

这次好像是文件的format的问题。太阳进不去是他的id和密码失灵了，也许是时间到期了，也许是他们更新新版本.

You are on a shared hosting deal. Meaning, yidian is on a server with other dozens or maybe hundreds sites.

"网站功能越多、数据库越大", it will take more resource of the server. If you are on a shared hosting deal like yidian now, if you take too much resource of the server, the hosting company may set it up to auto shut your site down so your site will not take resources more than your shares from other sites on the same server.

Shared hosting is cost effective but it will have some disadvantages, for example, when the hosting company updates their server which hosting hundreds sites, the update may conflict with some of the sites. Or sometimes, some updates they can not do, because it will conflict with too many sites.

For this incident. It might due to yidian's mysql database (one table) was crashed.

Right now, many big hosting companies offer very cheap deal for the server. 100 dollars/month rent, you can have your own server, and free large amount month traffic. Usually it means 100 dollars is your total month cost.

With thesunlover's unix skill, he can manage the server without too much difficulty, you should consider renting a "dedicate server" for yidian. You will have full control over the whole server if you have the "dedicate server".

If you want to talk to their tech support supervisor, they have millions execuse why you cannot talk to their supervisor and you will never be able to talk to a supervisor. (supervisor is not available because it is raining outside, it is snowing outside, the supervisor is in the meeting for the coming 6 hours if you want stay online and waiting, you are calling at your evening time and supervisor will be available in your day time, or you are calling at your day time but their evening time and the supervisor will be available in your evening time their day time...)

Search for the reviews of their service on the Internet.

海雨，都让你给说对了。伊甸一共出过两次事故。第一次是空间商升级。第二次就是mysql database (one table) 出了毛病。

七月给我解释后。我自己的感觉，是现在的空间商为我们提供的服务器不太满足要求。

1，要改进服务器功能，是不是得换一个更好的空间商？
2，如果要单独租一个的服务器，的确增加了伊甸园太多的费用。

3，这也是伊甸改版，我不同意增加太多功能的原因，总觉得繁就是复，就会有弊端。

本人只有直觉，不懂网络技术，请各位继续帮伊甸解惑。

As shared hosting, in my opinion your current hosting company is OK. Some other companies may be better. But the improvement may not be very much.
2，如果要租一个单独的服务器，的确增加了太多的费用。
from 100-250 dollars a month depends on different hosting company. 200 dollars is average. But the pre-requirment is thesunlover has to know the web server very well (not just the web site, the email functions, the security of all the software on the server etc.). He would have the full control and full responsiblity for the server. There is also an alternative, managed server (you still have a dedicated server, but your hosting company manage the server for you).

太多功能not necessary takes too much resource. Plus, the update versions usually also update sql and the database performance, and security issues. So 改版 would not cause problems usually. But new version may require update versions of php or mysql of the server.

4, for now, I think shared hosting should be OK for yidian. It is cost effective and less works to manage. Only two major downs so far it is not too bad. If you have a dedicated server, thesunlover will have to keep close eyes on the server (Linux/unix, Apache, Mysql, php, mail server, etc. Just to name a few software running on this platform) and keep them up to date, at least on the security issues. Otherwise, you may have more down time on your dedicated server than on this shared hosting.

Only until yidian grows to a level that shared hosting cannot satisfy its requirements then go for the dedicated server.
