奥运期间入境签证小有变化

These are temporary requirements.

There are long waiting line to apply for Chinese visa now.

My friend said just giving all the require documents to the travel agency which could get visa for you for extra 15 dollars service fee instead of you spending a good half day to go to there yourself.

Let us know your experience.

I am planning go back in October. By then these temporary requirments may not be required. But if the round ticket is the only thing they want then I would go to get my visa earlier just in case.

But some people said they would only issue you visa 3 months before your traveling time. If you can find that out when you get your visa that will be helpful.

No service like Chinese consulate general here. Nobody answers the phone, they have lunch time breaks, when somebody answers the phone, most times you cannot get right answers, now the web site of consulate general here was down.

Years ago, the Chinese Consulate General didn't want their phone number to be listed in an "easy to find phone number for Chinese" made by Chinese American Librarians associations because Taiwan's agency listed themselves as Republic of China. Now I think they would prefer Taiwan to call themselves Repulic of China instead of Taiwan.

Yes, it was changed on 4/18. That's why I was so upset. I was told on 4/19 that I couldn't have it the usual way.

I heard you needed the invitation letter from your family (funny?), and the letter has to have the resident address etc., and the kinship certificate (even their online document said no), the round way ticket.

What else?
